This Privacy Policy applies to UpJoyAP's utility and productivity apps (the "Tools" product line), currently PDF to Markdown (PDF2MD). It is separate from the Privacy Policy for UpJoyAP's game apps, which have a different data-collection profile.
Apps covered by this policy:
PDF to Markdown (PDF2MD) — iOS/iPadOS, bundle ID com.upjoyap.pdf2md. See Section 3 for app-specific details.
Additional Tools apps will be added here as new sections when released. Unless a section says otherwise, Tools apps process your content entirely on-device and do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
UpJoyAP ("we", "us", "our") is the developer and publisher of the Tools apps covered by this policy.

General principles that apply across the Tools product line are described briefly below; each app then has its own numbered section with the specifics that matter for it (what is processed, what is stored, and what optional purchases it offers). If an app's section conflicts with a general statement elsewhere in this policy, the app's section controls.
All PDF parsing, text recognition, image extraction, and Markdown generation happen locally on your device. Document contents are not sent to us or to any conversion service. The app may communicate with Apple to load, purchase, and restore PDF2MD Pro, but we do not receive, see, or store the contents of any file you convert.
This applies equally to scanned documents. Optical character recognition uses Apple's on-device Vision framework; page images are not sent to us or to any third party.
The app marks its local conversion-history directory as excluded from system backups. This tells the operating system not to include that directory in device or iCloud backups, although the operating system and Apple ultimately control the backup process.
Deleting the app removes its local history and saved folder-access bookmark. It does not delete copies that you previously exported, shared, copied, or saved to a folder outside the app. A folder you select may itself be synchronized by iCloud Drive or another provider under that provider's terms.
If you contact us at support@upjoyap.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or other information you choose to provide. We use this information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot the app, and maintain support records. Support correspondence is normally deleted within 12 months after the request is resolved, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, dispute, or legal-compliance purposes. You may request earlier deletion by emailing the same address. Your email provider processes the message under its own privacy policy.
PDF2MD is free to download and offers PDF2MD Pro as an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Apple handles product information, payment, transaction verification, and restoration; we never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
When you use the share sheet, save to a folder, or copy to the clipboard, the converted content goes wherever you direct it. Those destinations are outside the app and are covered by their own privacy policies. This includes cloud-backed folders such as iCloud Drive when you choose one as a destination.
PDF2MD's App Store listing declares "Data Not Collected", consistent with the practices described above.
Tools apps are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us information through support may contact us to request its deletion.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Any change that would broaden what a Tools app collects will be described plainly rather than buried in a routine update.
